After over a decade of modelling – I have learnt through trial, and many errors – how to dress for a casting. Trying to keep a finger on the ever changing fashion pulse like I used to, whilst taking care of three rambunctious boys, is nigh on impossible; so my casting outfits need to be classic, timeless, and vaguely fashionable.  These outfits need to be versatile. They need to impress potential clients and have to also be worn straight from castings to the school/nursery run and playground playdates.  Gone are the days of changing out of comfortable trainers into vertiginous heels in the nearest Starbucks (yes really) before a casting.

CASTING 3

This outfit is one of my current favourites.  In my attempt to stay on trend, I am wearing this Alice & Olivia Elysia Peplum Blouse.  This classic cream coloured blouse has a modern lacy twist and the peplum shape adds a funky element to a simple design.

CASTING 4

I am obsessed with TopShop Baxter Jeans and couldn’t live without them – great value; twinned with great quality; and if I get home from the playground splattered in mud…it’s all good.  I have turned up the hem of the jeans to show some ankle, and am wearing some of the most comfortable heeled boots I have found- Isabel Marant’s Iconic Dicker Boots.  My iPad contains my portfolio (gone are the days of heavy folder-like portfolios.)  My make up; Oyster card and random nappies (the children’s, not mine!) are in my Balenciaga Giant Traveller Backpack.

Fingers crossed I get booked for the job!
