For the first time ever, Royal Ascot’s prohibitive dress code allowed race goers to wear jumpsuits. For a traditional event to allow this style of clothing shows how far the humble jumpsuit has come in its fashion trajectory. We didn’t go to Ascot this year, but that won’t stop us planning our Ascot outfit for next year… and it will clearly involve us wearing a jumpsuit. We have raced to the shops ( pardon the pun) and hunted down our favourite jumpsuits to wear come 2019 …if anyone invites us, that is!!
A black jumpsuit is a wardrobe essential for us here at NotSuchAModelMum and this BA&SH Serri Jumpsuit from the brand of the moment is classic, is on sale, and will see you through many a “I don’t know what to wear”days!
This High Neck Scalloped Jumpsuit from Ted Baker caught our eye as well- it is the subtle details that add some fun to a classic cut, and the colour is so elegant and unique.
One of our favourite smaller brands is called Beulah London and, not only do they have stunning clothes, the entire ethos behind the brand is something that should be supported and shouted from the rooftops. Every item of clothing they sell helps support vulnerable women through employment, and if this isn’t excuse enough to buy, buy, buy then check out these jumpsuits.
When you type ” jumpsuit” into good old ASOS, over 1,800 items come up! So, we have done the hard work for you and trawled the website like a fisherman on a mission and found these treasures!
Channelling that relaxed, bohemian, hippie vibe is US label Free People, who epitomise effortless cool and fun. Our favourite jumpsuit picks are here.
J.Crew is one of our go-to shops and their jumpsuits are classic, flattering and last forever!
